David F. Barragan, President and owner of Barragan Corp International served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp for over 27 years. He retired at the rank of SgtMaj. Over the course of his military career he served in several units involved in combat missions in both Kuwait and Iraq. He also served in North and South America, the Middle East and Asia.
Barragan Corp International helps military transition from active duty to civilian life. Training is provided for transitioning military in safety and health regulations at no cost, so that they may enter civilian life with certification in federal OSHA requirements. During the training they are also prepared for daily civilian life. Education in life skills such as how to market themselves, resume writing tips, and advice on adjusting to civilian life is also provided. David F. Barragan found that the need for this training was great in our area, so Barragan Corp International recently moved its corporate office in order to accommodate all the military wanting training. He and the staff at Barragan Corp International donate their time on the weekends to accommodate the schedule of the transitioning military.
Barragan Corp International also partners with the Wounded Warrior Programs as well as the Veterans Transition Support (VTS), a military reintegration program. According to VTS, last year alone, Barragan Corp International provided training and education to 960 transitioning military. Many times this leads to employment opportunities including 12 internships at Barragan Corp International and six Marines were hired to be site safety managers on Barragan Corp job sites.
